Bristol City Council
Bristol Legible City is an initiative of Bristol City Council. From the original inception of the idea, the Council’s role has been the framing of the solutions and leading the implementation.

Bristol City Council has lead the development of a Partnership Group – a partnership between a number of regional and local bodies. Most importantly, securing the involvement, and working with Adshel has made implemenation of the products viable and in the long term – sustainable.

The initiative has been run through the Legible City Client Group , consisting of key officers within Bristol City Council and heads of major urban and visitor destinations including Broadmead and the Bristol Tourism and Conference Bureau.

Bristol City Council is also leading the bid to become European Capital of Culture in 2008.
